There's more to overcome than just hunger, exhaustion, and disease in Pathologic 2, as the game actively works against you in a variety of ways. Most notably, the game only auto saves during the insane fever dream of an intro. It's probably in case people jettison early but then later decide maybe they are willing to go a little further down this bizarre rabbit hole.
After that point, there are no more auto saves. You have to manually save your game during the 12-day rush to stop the plague — but you can't do it from the menu like in any other modern title!
How to backdoor a gmod server.
Pathologic 2 sticks to its roots and wants to make this experience as difficult as possible. In keeping with the limited-time theme, while playing as the Haruspex, you can only save your game at a limited number of standing wooden clocks found in specific buildings.
Clock locations for saving your game during the 12 day plague battle
This old-school save design is made more difficult by the fact that many of these buildings aren't accessible at all times or on every day. Quite a few of them can't be entered until after completing the first day or going through various quests, and some of them actually get closed off on later days as the plague progresses.
Be sure to keep note of where to find them, because you don't want to lose a whole day's progress before shutting down! All the save clock locations are marked with yellow stars in the map above, while the table below lists the specific names of the buildings to look for in each district.
Note that in some cases, there are multiple clocks in what appears to be a single building, but they can only be reached by entering that building from different sides, like with the Olgimsky's mansion called The Lump.
The ticking clock of time moving ever forward is quite literal in this game

During the first day, your best bet to save your game is to head into the Warehouse section at the southern end of the city and enter the area where Bad Grief holds up shop, or head up to the north side and enter The Shelter where Lara Ravel lives.
Because of your quest to find allies among your old friends, both of those locations will be open and available to you and are clearly marked on your map.
If you've talked to the kid gangs and found their lair, the Soul And A Half Fortress is another great place to save because you aren't likely to get mugged and you can trade for items with the kids in the warehouse.

Every GMOD and SFM artist has to equip their character with clothing before the posing begins, but having to do it over and over each time will eventually become a chore. You gotta do all that rubbish again every time you want to include your character in a poster, and no one wants that.
Fortunately, there is a way to make such a monotonous task obsolete: with 'Dupes'.
***
Dupes
It's short for 'Duplicate'. It's kinda hard to define, really, but the gist of it is pretty understandable.
You can save the way a ragdoll looks and the things that they are wearing or have bonemerged with them.
If you have any dupes saved, you can simply bring up the Spawnlist Menu and go to the 'Dupe' section.
Mouse over the desired Dupe and click on 'Deploy'.
Your character will whip out the Tool Gun with the 'Duplicator' tool selected, with the chosen Dupe set in the Duplicator tool.
Simply left-click at the spot you want to spawn your Dupe at, and vóila.
Note that you don't remove a Dupe by bonemerged prop by bonemerged prop. You remove the whole model completely.
Dupes can also be published and put in the Community Workshop, which will appear in the 'Subscribed' section of the Dupe menu if subscribed to.
However, Dupes aren't that popular on the Workshop and aren't guaranteed to win a lot of subscribers.
There's even a buncha Community Dupes in this particular part of the Dupe menu. No subscription or installation is required. Just click 'Deploy' and it's ready to go.
An AT-AT. This is one creative community.
To save a Dupe, simply select the Duplicator in your Tool Menu.
Right-click on the model you wish to copy.
On a side note, copied models can be spawned infinitely as long as your computer can withstand it. Mine sure as heck can't.
Go to your Dupe menu and click 'Save Dupe'. Your Dupe is now loaded and ready for use at any time.
Saves
Most people would do their GMODDING dutifully and in one go, but if you're like me, you might get lazy to an extent that you just don't want to finish the poster now.
But if you have second thoughts about abandoning your project completely, there's a way to save the game and come back to it later; with Saves.
Saves aren't all that complicated at all. If you have a scene that you're in the middle of making, but wish to stop halfway and take a break..
..simply open up your Spawn Menu and select the 'Saves' section.
Then, click 'Save Game'. Wii uninstall priiloader.
To view your Saves, click 'Saves' in the Main Menu. You should get this.
Just mouse over any Save and click 'Load' to load a save.
Editors
There are three Entities in your Spawn Menu, called the Sky Editor, Fog Editor and Sun Editor.
Selecting one of them will spawn a cube, and the world around you will be edited as long as the cubes remain.
These really help spice up the scene so that your poster has a Source Filmmaker-ish feel to it.
Sky Editor
It edits..the sky..
If the Sky Editor is spawned, the sky will be adjusted in certain ways. For instance, changing night into day.
If this editor is removed, the sky will be reset.
Fog Editor
If the Fog Editor is spawned, a thin layer of fog will be added to the distant atmosphere.
If this editor is removed, so will the fog.
Sun Editor
If the Sun Editor is spawned, the Sun will reappear in the direction that the arrow on the cube is pointing, and the location of the Sun will change if the arrow points at a different direction.
What's great is that the Sun will remain in its set location, even if you remove the Sun Editor.
The Sun Editor only works for maps that have Suns, however.
Such maps include Green Hill and Sunset City.
