Install And Set Up Cisco Webex Productivity Tools For Mac

From WebEx Settings, you can verify your account information, specify which programs use Productivity Tools, select preferences for instant and scheduled meetings, and choose Meet Now settings. You can access WebEx Settings from most programs in which Productivity Tools were installed.

I have a MacBook Pro 15 Retina running Yosemite 10.10.2 and MS Office for Mac 2011. I installed the latest version of WebEx Productivity Tools for Mac, the installation completed just fine, the WebEx icons hooked into Outlook OK. But every time I try to schedule a meeting, I get this error: The operation couldn’t be completed.

To change WebEx Settings:

1. Select Edit WebEx Settings on the Cisco WebEx 'Meet Now' panel.
   Note: If the panel is not visible, right-click the WebEx 'Meet Now' icon in the system tray, then select WebEx Settings. The WebEx Settings dialog appears.
   
2. Verify your WebEx site URL and user name, enter your password, then click Apply.
   
3. Select the appropriate tab to configure your WebEx Settings.
   
   • Account: Your WebEx Account information is automatically configured during installation. Use this tab to log in, or to change your WebEx site URL, host account user name, password, language or location.
   • 'Meet Now' Settings: These options affect meetings started instantly from the Meet Now panel, Microsoft Office and Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes, Web browsers and instant messaging applications.
   • Scheduled Meetings: These settings affect meetings you schedule with Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes.
   • Preferences: This tab enables you to specify the behavior of the Meet Now panel, and select options that will be available when the panel is displayed. It also lists your default address book (Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes) for scheduled meetings.
   • Tools: On this tab you can select which programs will include WebEx integrations and shortcuts. By default, all programs installed on your computer will have Productivity Tools installed.
4. Make your changes, then choose one of the following options:
   • Click Apply to save your changes and keep the WebEx Settings dialog open.
   • Click OK to save your changes and close the WebEx Settings dialog.
   The 'Communicating with server' message is displayed while your settings are being updated.

WebEx Productivity Tools allow you to schedule, start, and join meetings quickly without going to the Northwestern WebEx site. Once you've installed the WebEx Productivity Tools, just select the WebEx ball in Outlook to add a WebEx meeting to your calendar invitation.

1. Log in to WebEx at https://northwestern.webex.com. If this is first time you're logging in, you will be prompted to download and install WebEx Productivity Tools. If you aren't prompted, select the Meeting Center tab and go to Support > Downloads.
2. Once the cwptools.dmg has completed downloading, open it and install the software as you would any other software application. If you need assistance or admin access to install software, contact your local tech support personnel.
3. Once the software has been installed, you will be prompted to configure it:
   1. Enter your @northwestern.edu email address and press Next.
   2. Select the northwestern.webex.com radio button and press Next.
   3. In the Online Passport, enter your NetID and NetID password and press Log In.
4. Click Close to complete the installation.
5. Open Outlook. In the upper right corner, click the WebEx ball to show the Productivity Tools available to you.
