Jai Shri Krishna (English: Hail Lord Krishna) is an Indiandrama television series produced by Sagar Pictures, which aired on Colors from 21 July 2008 to 15 September 2009. It is the remake of Ramanand Sagar's successful show Sri Krishna and was handled by Moti Sagar (son of Ramanand Sagar) of Sagar Pictures. It is based on Mahabharata, Harivamsa, Bhagavata Purana and the Vishnu Purana.

The epic TV serial ‘Shri Krishna’ sings the glory of Lord Krishna and is based on ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran’ The life of Shri Krishna is not a simple subject since his life-span is spread across the endless ocean of immortality and eternity.

Jai Shri Krishna tells the story of the Bhagavan Vishnu's avatar, Shree Krishna. The story takes place in India, covering cities like Gokhul, Mathura, Hastinapur, and Dawaraka. It shows the different leelas, or stories, of Shree Krishna from his birth, childhood, teenage years, and time as prince of Mathura and prince of Dwarka.

The music has been composed by Gurmeet Singh. 'Nothing can be as irking as a power cut,' said Bhatti.Bhatti said the movie was a satire on the dismal power situation in the state and the working of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). Some of the songs include 'Ki karoonga Jatt, je lag jaye power cut' by Mika, featuring Bhatti and Bhalla, 'Mai bijli mai bijli' by Sunidhi Chauhan. The movie, releasing on October 26, has a heroine called Bijli and a hero called Current.Producer Pawaljit Singh Rupal said the story was set in Punjab with Prem Chopra as the power minister of the state and Rajesh Puri as the power corporation CMD. Bhatti and Jaswinder Bhalla, who is a comedian of Punjabi cinema, play village jesters (Bhands) who make fun of the electrical and political system throughout.The movie has unique numbers based on the concept of power cut and even the movie actors have been satirically named to go with the movie theme. The program touched on many different aspects of his life, through the retelling of the leelas, it is told that he was known as Makhan Chor (butter thief) and of his eternal friendship with Sudama as a good example of true friendship. Other aspects include some of his adventures, such as when he killed the demon queen Putana and tamed the venomous serpent Kaliya. Yet another amazing story was how as a little boy he showed the entire universe in his open mouth to his foster Mother, Yashoda.

As a teenager he shared a divine relationship with Radha. His dance with the Gopis (milkmaids) of Vrindavana became known as the Rasa lila. Later, when he became a fully grown man, the series tells about how he slayed his evil uncle, Kans (although, in the actual tales, Krishna was much younger when he slayed his uncle – he may have been as young as 12 years old).

After becoming a prince, Krishna married Rukmini, Satyabhama and Jambavati. Krishna also married 16,100 maidens who were being held in captivity by the demon Narakasura. He did this to save their honor. Krishna's wives are believed to be forms of the goddess Lakshmi, who is the consort of Vishnu.

In terms of family and friends, the series tells how Krishna was the cousin of Pandavas and best friend of Arjuna. He was like a brother to Draupadi and rescued her when she was insulted and almost assaulted by the Kauravs, who had unfairly won her, along with the rest of the Pandava's assets, in a wager. He imparted the knowledge of Bhagvad Gita to motivate Arjuna, prior to the great battle of Kurukshetra.

The series portrays Lord Shree Krishna as the perfect son, husband, brother, friend, king and lover of many. The show followed every aspect of Lord Krishna's life up until Lord Krishna's teenage years.
